「リオ・ブラボー」(1959年)などで映画史に残る名匠のハワード・ホークス監督がメガホンを取ったとされる｢遊星よりの物体X (The Thing from Another World)」(1951年/クレジットされている監督は映画編集者のクリスティアン・ナイビイ)を、ホラージャンルのカリスマ監督ジョン・カーペンターがリメイクした「遊星からの物体X (The Thing)」(1982年)の前日譚として作られた…と、相変わらず、説明がややこしいのですが、つまり、ジョン・カーペンター監督の映画の物語が始まる3日前には、どんな出来事があったのか？！をテーマにした最新作「ザ・シング(The Thing)」を配給するユニバーサル映画が初めて、映画の本編シーンの動画をリリースしたので、お楽しみください…！！、人気テレビシリーズ「LOST」の神父 ミスター・エコーとして知られるアドウェール・アキノエ＝アグバエが(↑ 写真左)、心臓がとまりそうになるぐらいビックリの目に遭うことになります…！！









これから映画界での活躍が期待される気鋭のCMディレクター、マティス・ヴァン・ヘイニンゲン・Jr 監督のデビュー作として、映画ファンの人は一応、チェックしておきたい「ザ・シング」で、主人公の戦うヒロインとなる古生物学者のケイトに扮し、太古に凍りついたエイリアンを発見した南極のノルウェー隊の観測基地を訪れるのは、「スコット・ピルグリムVS.ザ・ワールド」(2010年)のメアリー・エリザベス・ウィンステッド。主演男優は、トム・ハーディとリングで兄弟対決を闘う総合格闘技映画「ウォリアー」が今週末の9月9日から全米公開になるジョエル・エドガートンです…！！

そして、動画に登場したアドウェール・アキノエ＝アグバエに加え、バカ映画のケッ作「ビール・フェスタ 無修正版/世界対抗・一気飲み選手権」（2006年）のエリック・クリスチャン・オルセンが出演している本作は、来月10月14日から全米公開！！、やはり、80年代のヒット作を復刻したリメイク版「フットルース」と同日公開ですから、なんだか、20数年前にタイムスリップしたような週末となりそうです…？！
