「キル・ビル」のサウンドトラックで重要な役割をつとめたヒップホップ・ミュージシャンのRZAが、「イングロリアス・バスターズ」（2009年）のドニー・ドノウィッツ軍曹＝イーライ・ロス監督と共同で脚本を執筆し、タランティーノ監督から映画作りの手ほどきを受けて初監督した主演作「ザ・マン・ウィズ・ジ・アイアン・フィスツ」の予告編をご覧ください！！









リーダーをつとめるヒップホップ・ユニットに、カンフー映画「少林寺武者房（Shaolin and Wu Tang）」（1981年）から引用した “ ウータン・クラン ” と名前をつけることからしても、カンフー映画マニアのRZAが初監督に挑戦し、自ら主演もつとめた「ザ・マン・ウィズ・ジ・アイアン・フィスツ」は…、19世紀の中国を舞台に、とある領地に流れ着いたRZA演じる鍛冶屋の武器職人が、覇権争いの戦さに際して、よそ者の自分を受け入れてくれた人々を守るため、ラッセル・クロウの悪役と対決することに…！！といったプロットだそうで、古代の超自然のパワーがRZAに乗り移り、人間兵器に生まれ変わることになるそうです…！！

カンフー映画のみならず、タランティーノ監督の最新作「ジャンゴ・アンチェインド」（12月25日全米公開）と同じく、スパゲッティ・ウエスタンの要素も明らかに加えられている「ザ・マン・ウィズ・ジ・アイアン・フィスツ」の出演者は…、前述の「キル・ビル」でオーレン石井を演じ、「カンフー・パンダ」シリーズでカンフーは得意？！のルーシー・リュー、「ジャッキー・ブラウン」（1997年）のジャッキー・ブラウン＝パム・グリアといったタランティーノ・ファミリーのほか、「サッカーパンチ」（2011年）のジェイミー・チャン、総合格闘家のカン・リーが参加しています！！


ユニバーサル映画が配給の「ザ・マン・ウィズ・ジ・アイアン・フィスツ」は、北米では今秋以降に公開の予定！！、映画の内容のストーリーや、RZAが監督した出来栄えのほどはさておき、これだけクレイジーな予告編を観せられたら、タランティーノ監督のファンならずとも、とりあえず観ずにおくわけにはいかないのではないでしょうか…ッ！！
